Isle of Wight, a set on Flickr.
Last weekend, I went on a mini-holiday to stay in yurts on the Isle of Wight with Rory, Willa and Kevin. The yurts were set in an apple orchard and it was just beautiful, if you fancy looking up the company they are here (www.thereallygreencompany.com). The ladies that run it were so helpful and were really relaxed about us checking in and out a little later than we'd planned. We had such a lovely time. Playing on the beach, playing with the donkeys (although Rory managed to get bitten, no idea how!), eating lots of amazing food from farm shops, and generally relaxing all over the place. Then to top it off one of my lovely colleagues managed to get Rory and I last minute Bestival tickets, so we got to see the amazing Bjork! We also stayed in a 1950s holiday resort hotel, that you could tell was amazingly British sea-sidey in its hey-day but now it was full of OAP bus tours. None-the-less the view was amazing, and everyone we met was lovely.
It's been the first proper weekend I've taken off in ages, switched off the phone, and had no access to emails or the internet... and I loved it.
